Tom also had 8 grandchildren who brought him great joy and laughter: Ben, Mason, Kate, Madelyn, Danny, Natalie, Emma, and Helen, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and great friends. Tom and Mary raised their family in Hamilton, IN, having moved there from Indianapolis in 1970 to become the owners and operators of Circle Park Resort. Tom held numerous positions throughout the years spanning industries such as food service and hospitality, computer repair, the plumbing and construction trades, editor and owner of the Hamilton News, and small business bookkeeping. He was truly a jack-of-all-trades. He was also active in local town government. Tom was most happy when he was surrounded by his family and friends at Hamilton Lake, stirring up a batch of his famous kettle corn at dusk, sitting by a very large bonfire, or preparing his famed “big daddy” breakfast. The Poynters moved to Fishers in 2014 to be near their children and grandchildren.

I am so sorry to hear of the death of Thomas. The passing away of a loved one is always with much sorrow. May we have faith and confidence in the Bible’s promise of a time when pain, sickness and death are a thing of the past (Revelation 21:3, 4). My condolences are with the family at this difficult time.
